Pathfinder Designs and Builds Rich Internet Application for Arabic Language Data Collection.

Challenge:

In an Arabic Gulf State, Pathfinder and its client, a large Research and Data Analysis firm, are helping transform the educational system. The mission of the Research Firm is to gather and synthesize information needed to make changes to the educational system. Our client needed a technology application to make gathering the data easier and analyzing it more efficient.

Solution:

Pathfinder helped the Research Firm win the assignment and developed a user-focused web application that enabled the company to efficiently gather a wealth of data about nearly 100,000 students, teachers, principals and schools in the Arab Gulf State.

The Pathfinder designed interface uses rich interaction design to optimize key processes so the users can get things done in fewer steps. While the application is delivered via a browser, it has the look and feel of a rich application running on the local PC. The application interface is delivered completely in the Arabic language with a look and feel appropriate to the culture.

The application facilitates information gathering that can be instantly transmitted across the globe and synthesized into reports. Pathfinder’s efforts are helping the research firm collect a more complete picture about the educational system than has been produced by any similar education reform project around the world.
