Give 'em what they want. Pretty complicated strategy, huh?

TankEngine

TankEngine is a plugin for developing web applications optimized for the iPhone look and feel. It is based on earlier work using iUI, but has a brand-new JavaScript ending based on jQuery, and is a more flexible tool than iUI

Download the plug-in from github

This plugin uses jQuery to manage it’s JavaScript needs. The jRails:http://ennerchi.com/projects/jrails plugin is recommended.

The plugin provides tools to specify output format for iPhones based on user agent string, URL request parameters, or user cookie.

A specific layout for iPhone is provided, and helpers are there to provide common iPhone elements such as lists, toggle switches, and toolbars.
