It kind of brings me to tears that personal traits seem to get overlooked in IT above scratching the interviewers ego by throwing new recruits a technical task – wouldn’t want them to be smarter than you now would we?

I’ve turned down jobs that have applied the exact same criteria you’re attempting to apply – simply because the company is clearly looking at technical skills AND NOT if looking at if you’re a complete psycho.

Technically brilliant developers tend to be arrogant, something that generally won’t show in an interview OR technical test.

And have a rails blog? Bahaha. Wanker. Shouldn’t you be hiring people who are slightly balanced with thier outlook?
