As I've mentioned here a few times, I have a book coming out, "Professional Ruby on Rails", available later this month.
If you'd like a sneak peek, Wrox has put some samples online as PDF files. You can also just buy the book.
Enjoy. Chapter one is a nice overview of the goals of the book: a focus on intermediate-to-advanced issues that affect real sites, and a real emphasis on how to manage test-first development of all these features.
I'm not sure if the publisher plans on adding more sample content -- if so, I'll update this post.

Is there a pdf version available?

My understanding is that a pdf version will be for sale about six weeks after the print sale date, which would be early April. (My own request for the publisher to send me an author’s copy of the final PDF has not yet been filled). I have no idea why they set it up this way.
You’ll be able to buy the ebook at wiley.com, it will also be available as part of the Wrox book subscription service.
I was also told that that there might be a version for the Amazon Kindle, pending a large backlog in getting books converted.

According to a press release from SoftBank Mobile, the Japanese service provider has secured an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Japan this year. The deal will ensure the iPhone’s first official access in Japan’s market.
