A short day so everyone can check out of their hotel and beat it back home to shovel snow. On tap today:
- A conversation with David Geary (yeah, he already gave a presentation, but he has some experience with the introduction of new technologies, so hopefully he'll do some prognostication)
- Best Practices for building libraries with Joel and Kelly
Unfortunately there is only one of me, so I'm going to miss the Maps and Gears presentation and I missed the Unit Tests and Benchmarking presentation by Toby Reyelts yesterday. Since I'm all Agile all the time (baby), it pains me to have missed the testing presentation.
OK, some book keeping. First, I promised to dig up some stuff on the whole "GWT won't leak memory" thing. So far I've only been able to dig up a few threads in the GWT group by Joel (here and here).
Also, I wanted to give names and links for all of the folks participating in last night's Tools Panel:
- Robert Hanson (GWT in Action, GWT Widget Library, blog)
- Fred Sauer (gwt-dnd (otherwise known as "no excuse to implement your own drag-and-drop in GWT anymore", gwt-voices, gwt-game, gwt-log, yeah, this guy rocks)
- Ray Cromwell (Chronoscope, blog)
- Eric Clayberg (home page, Instantiations GWT Designer, props to an old schoolh OO guy)
