Michael Walkden, Senior Project Manager at Pathfinder Development, has been selected to present a hands-on workshop entitled “The Agile Game: An Experiential Workshop” at the Agile 2009 Conference taking place August 24-28, 2009 in Chicago.
Walkden’s workshop allows clients to experience the rhythm of an Agile project in action by using Lego building blocks and acting as teams. This hands-on experience allows participants to learn firsthand many of Agile’s practices in a fun, non-technical way. Attendees will come away with an understanding of many of the best practices used to deliver high-quality software quickly and experience how the various roles work together as on effective Agile teams.
“A lot of project teams are hearing about Agile and some have even started implementing the practices on their projects. My workshop will help them experience an Agile project within a game which illustrates the concepts and practices that make it ideal for software development. Besides, who doesn’t like playing with Legos?” said Walkden.
Join Michael Walkden for his experiential workshop on Monday, August 24, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, in Chicago, IL. To register for the Agile 2009 Conference and Michael’s presentation, visit http://agile2009.agilealliance.org/.
Agile 2009 will be an exciting international conference about techniques and technologies, attitudes and policies, research and first-hand experience, from both the management and technical sides of agile software development. The agile approach focuses on delivering business value early in the project lifetime and being able to incorporate emergent requirements. The conference is not about a single methodology or approach, but rather provides a forum for the exchange of information regarding all agile development technologies.
